About Us

boatportraits.com is a family business, founded by Peter Adams.

Peter first learned to paint in Switzerland in the 1970's and has continued with oil, acrylic and watercolor painting since then. Peter went on to study the Philosophy of Art at Colorado College, then entered the PhD program in Philosophy at the University of Colorado, continuing his interest in the study of aesthetics.

Peter has lived in Boulder, Colorado since 1982 with his wife and two daughters. While Boulder is not a typical sailing destination, Peter's goal is cross the Atlantic on a sailboat someday.
